Ahmed travels by road to Lagos over bad weather

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, yesterday, jettisoned his proposed plan to connect a flight to Lagos due to bad weather.
Maigida as the Governor is fondly known After Hours learnt last night, travelled to the former capital city of the country by road apparently to ensure his safety and that of his entourage.


Sound Bar boss, OJ marks birthday in style

Several youths in Ilorin were on Tuesday given a rare treat as the Chief Executive Officer of Sound Bar, Olumide Ojerinde (better known as OJ) celebrated new age at his GRA residence.
OJ is the first son of former Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof Dibu Ojerinde.
The birthday celebration which kicked off 10 am on Tuesday with a testimonial match at the Kwara Hotel pitch had participants served exquisite wines, suya and asun with light music before, during and after the match.
The second leg took place between 3pm and 8pm same day at the Ojerinde’s GRA residence where guests were feted with all kinds of cuisines and drinks.
The final leg of the event was reserved for 11pm as friends and well wishers of OJ, all garbed in white attire converged on the hottest nite club in town – Sound Bar – to celebrate their own.
Gate crashers in multi colour dresses were however turned back by bouncers at the entrance of the exquisite facility.


Nimota Ibrahim remembers late brother

Frontline Kwara female politician and former member of Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Nimota Ibrahim marked the 5th year anniversary of her late brother by taking to the facebook to pour tributes on him.
Although, she didn’t mention the name of the deceased, the former PDP BOT member splashed the picture of her beloved brother on her facebook wall and wrote: “Your last wish, kid brother was the person that will always remember you and pray for you. But I made a promise that I will always remember you and pray for you, which I am doing.
Today marks the fifth year of your departure, as it always give me a flashback of your last moments in life. Indeed, painful for me and to us.
