Women leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State have hailed the appointment of Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki as the Director-General of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Counci.

Speaking on a PDP radio programme, the State Woman Leader of the party, Hajia Ramat Oganija said Saraki’s appointment was a sign of victory for the PDP in the 2019 presidential election.

Oganija, who spoke alongside PDP Kwara North Woman Leader, Hajia Geenatu Ibrahim and that of Kwara South, Hajia Falilat Aliyu, declared that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would emerge as Nigeria’s President in 2019.

They noted that Nigerians were ready to vote out President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for imposing poverty and hunger on them.

The kwara women leaders further stated that the emergence of Atiku as Nigeria’s President in 2019 would be of immense benefits to the country and Kwara in particular. They, therefore, called on all Kwarans to vote Atiku in next year’s general elections and other candidates of the PDP in the  state.

The women stressed that the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Razaq Atunwa is a grassroots politician, who has on different occasions held empowerment programmes for youths and women.

They expressed confidence that Atunwa would emerge victorious in the 2019 general elections, stressing that the PDP government remains committed to the development of the State.

Oganija said the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) does not have any good plan for Kwarans, which she said reflected in the manners the party conducted its primaries that resulted into violence.

They stated that the APC lacked organisation and direction, adding that a party that cannot manage its affairs cannot manage a whole state, as they can throw the state into confusion and chaos.

The women also prayed for the success of Saraki in his new assignment and as well prayed for victory of the PDP at all levels in the 2019 general elections.
