Our visit to Saraki not politically motivated – Districts Heads

The Ilorin Emirate Magaji and Alangua Forum in Kwara weekend said the visit to the leader of the APC in the state, Dr Bukola Saraki was not politically motivated.

The forum also debunked allegation that it collected N20million and ten appointments slots from Saraki.

The allegation, which was also raised by the opposition PDP had trended on social media with the allegation that members of the forum collected the fund to mortgage the future of the people of the state, particularly the youth in Ilorin Emirate.

The General Secretary of the forum and Magaji Nda of llorin, Alhaji Saliu Woru- Mohammed, while addressing a press conference in llorin debunked the allegation.

While speaking on behalf of 600 members of the forum, the former police officer, described the social media report as untrue, baseless and a figment of the writer’s imagination and hatched by some enemies of progress in the emirate.

The Magaji Nda however admitted that the forum visited the Senate President but it neither demanded nor collected N20million from him.

He explained that the forum’s visit to the Senate President was in response to the people’s complaints about the backlog of salary arrears of the local government workers in the state.

Other reasons for visiting the Senate President according to Woru-Mohamned by the forum are reduction of Kwara Polytechnic tuition fees, and presence of Federal Government projects in the state.
