Ace movie marketer, Almaroof becomes Oloba-elect

The Chief Executive Officer of Almaroof Standard Investment, Alhaji Maroof Ishola Afolayan has been confirmed the Oloba-elect of Eju land (Sanmora), Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The successful nomination and declaration was made by the Oloba family on Sunday and the date for the coronation is to be announced by the Eleju of Sanmora, Oba Matthew Idowu Ajiboye.
The ace movie marketer and successful business man, in a text message sent to our reporter said he was happy to have emerged after a protracted process which spanned several weeks.
“It was with gratitude to Almighty Allah that I was on Sunday declared the Oloba-elect by the Oloba family. I want to appreciate everyone who took part in the process and also my immediate and extended family for the tremendous support. The journey was a long one but I am glad it ended without any rancor.
“I want to assure my people that I will work in tandem with the Eleju and other chiefs to move our community forward,” Almaroof said.
When eventually installed as Oloba, Almaroof will become the next in command to the monarch (Eleju) of Sanmora.
The stool of the Oloba became vacant in September 2017 following the passing of the high chief and was keenly contested by members of the Oloba family before the emergence of the Kwara Poly and Enugu State University graduate
