APC Convention: Kwara Speaker charges new NWC on party’s cohesion

The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Dr. Ali Ahmad, has charged the Adams Oshiomhole-led new National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure cohesion among members by resolving all the lingering issues ahead of the 2019 general elections.
In a statement issued in Ilorin, by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdul Rahman Sanni, on Monday, the Speaker said,” the party cannot afford to go to the general elections next year with a divided house; hence, the new NWC must work assiduously in addressing the grievances of the aggrieved members, for better performance at the poll.”
Meanwhile, the Speaker has described the re- emergence of Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi as the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), as aย ย reward for his resilience and commitment to projection of the image of the party.
Dr Ahmad explained with delight that the wide margin in the number of votes recorded by Mallam Abdullahi against his opponents was a clear manifestation of his excellent performance, wide acceptability and winning capacity of the political dynasty under the leadership of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
He enjoined him to see his resounding victory at the national convention as an impetus for improved performance in the task of packaging the party ahead of next year’s general elections.
