The Financial Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Kwara state, Alhaji Saliu Mustapha (aka Okoro)who had earlier dumped the party and joined the All Progressives Congress ( APC) has returned to the fold of Saraki political dynasty.
Mustapha, a grassroot politician from Offa Local government area of the state said he rescinded his decision to toe the line of the ex- Kwara PDP chairman, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, because he had since discovered the deceitful nature of those opposed to the Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki’s leadership.
He said the little time he spent in APC has afforded him the opportunity to discover that the so- called opposition figures in the state are pursuing personal and selfish interests at the expensive of the interest of the vast majority of the people of the state.
He said inordinate ambitions of the gladiators in the opposition party in the state had led to the springing up of so many factions withdrew its fold.
Mustapha expressed his preparedness to join hands with well meaning politicians in Offa local government to deliver the area to Saraki- led PDP in the 2019 general elections.
With the return of Mustapha to Saraki’s fold, the former PDP chairman remains the only party’s chieftain that had left the party.
The Deputy chairman, Woman leader,Treasurer, Youth leader,Auditor,
Asst Financial Secretary
and others remain in the PDP and had not only warmly Saraki into the party, but also pledged their allegiance to him as the new national leader of the rebranded PDP.
