‘Christians can live holy life in corrupt society’

The Minister-in-charge of Calvary Baptist Church, Ilorin, Kwara State, Reverend Francis Oladipo has enjoined Christians to endeavour to live righteous life despite the rot in the contemporary society.
The clergyman in his sermon on Sunday, stressed that believers can succeed in life without engaging in corrupt practices.
He also noted that Christians are born to make difference in the society and be light unto others who have strayed from God.
“It is not good for a Christian to cheat; that is not godly. Some youths play ‘betnaija’ in order to make quick money, it’s wrong because proceed of such game is ill-gotten. We can live comfortably in this corrupt world without being corrupt or polluted,” the reverend emphasised.
Reverend Oladipo further maintained that Christians should realise that they were once sinners who were saved by grace, advising them to flee from all appearances of evil and lead an exemplary lives.
“We should always remember that we were sinners, saved by grace. We’re redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus. We should live exemplary life. Grace that given Christians is to enable us live a life that is holy,” he stressed.
The clergyman implored Christians to avoid bad company in order not to backslide in their walk with God.
