Emir’s daughter empowers Magaji Ngeri women 

 

No fewer than seventy women from Magaji Ngeri constituency in Ilorin West local government area on Tuesday last week benefitted from the empowerment programme of the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed on Poverty Alleviation, Hajia Aishat Sulu-Gambari.
Thirty of the beneficiaries held at ABS constituency office, Agaka, Ilorin, will be trained in the art of local Laali designs during marriage ceremonies and celebration while forty of them will learn different aspects soap making within the duration of one month.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Aisha Sulu-Gambari said the world is moving towards entrepreneurship and self employment and advised them to use the opportunity to become employers of labour rather than waiting endlessly for white collar jobs.
While praying for the success of the beneficiaries, the governor’s aide further promised to assist the people within the limit of available resources and continue to prioritise their welfare to further provide dividends of democracy in her constituency in line with the mandate of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki.
In her remarks, Hajia Muslimat Ibrahim (Iya nKwara) advised the trainees to take the workshop very seriously and continue to pray for Hajia Sulu-Gambari adding that they can become global players in their environment. She advised the youth not to fall to the antics of opposition who have nothing to offer than criticising Saraki.
Other ward officials at the event include the Legislative Aide to the Senate President, Hon Oladimeji Agaka, Alhaji Tunde Olodo Alhaji Jimoh Galadinma and Ilorin West Organising Secretary, Mr Aduagba Olalete and Kwara Central   among others
