2019: Again, Saraki meets IBB

The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, yesterday paid a visit to former Military President, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, at his Hilltop Mansion in Minna, Niger State capital.
Saraki, writing on his verified Twitter page along with an image of him and IBB, said he was meeting the former president before he sits down with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) delegates and party executives in the state.
โBefore my meeting with PDP delegates and party executives from Niger State, I paid my respects to General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida at his home in Minna,โ he wrote.
Recall that Saraki had met with IBB last month in Minna.
It was learnt that the consultation meeting was for โdirection on the way forward in view of recent happeningsโ.
Before the IBB meeting, Saraki and Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara had met with Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.
The meeting followed their joint press conference on the invasion of the National Assembly complex by men of the Department of State Services (DSS).
In a related development, former Senate President, David Mark on Saturday, visited Gen. Babangida (retd) in Minna, to seek his support for his presidential ambition.
Senator Mark last week purchased the expression of interest nomination form from the headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to contest for the 2019 presidency.
On the entourage of the presidential hopeful is Senator representing Kogi-West, Tunde Ogbeha and Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, Sen. Suleiman Adokwe.
