2018 WC: Cleric to send consortium of pastors to Russia for Eagles

The General Overseer of Rhema Chapel, Ilorin, Rev. George Adegboye, has promised to send a consortium of pastors to Russia to pray for the success of the Super Eagles during the 2018 World Cup.
Adegboye dropped this hint at the weekend in Ilorin while receiving the Super Eagles’ replica jersey from the Media Officer of the team, Toyin Ibitoye, during his 60th birthday dinner.
The elated cleric said he has never seen a Super Eagles match live but promised to join thousands of Nigerians going to Russia to cheer the team to victory.
Rev. Adegboye expressed optimism that the Super Eagles will surpass its previous world cup appearances because the present team is full of talented players.
“I have never seen a Nigerian match live but I will be in Russia to watch them defeat nations they face.
“On my bill, I will send a consortium of pastors to Russia to pray for the country to succeed at the FIFA Mundial.
“Football unites the world and we will join in the unity this time,” Adegboye said.
Recall that Nigeria has been pitched against Argentina, Iceland and Croatia in Group D at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
