Guber: PDP raises alarm over donation of 100 exotic cars by Lagos contractors to APC’s AbdulRazaq

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed concerns over the importation of about 100 branded Kia motor cars into the state by the factional All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in the state, AbdurRahman AbdulRazaq.
The PDP said its concerns stemmed from the information at its disposal that the exotic and expensive cars were donated to the factional APC gubernatorial candidate by some Lagos contractors.
In a statement by its state Publicity Secretary, Tunde Ashaolu, AbdulRazaq must pay the contactor’s back their money and with interest if he eventually becomes the state governor.
The party said it was more disturbed that the 100 vehicles were driven to Ilorin from Lagos by some political thugs.
“The vehicles we learnt shall be distributed to some officials of the party on February 4 when President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders of APC are expected to take their campaign train to Ilorin.
“The reason why they want to distribute the vehicles in the presence of Buhari, Bola Tinubu and other APC leaders is to give legitimacy to the illegal transaction between AbdulRazaq and the Lagos contractors so that repayment could be made easier”.
The PDP drew the attention of the people of the state to the development and asked them to reject APC which is not pretending about its intention to use state resources to develop the followers of their Lagos godfather.
It added: ” It’s a fact that the factional APC governorship candidate has not empowered anyone in Kwara over the years, neither has he created jobs or even something as little as financial assistance to the less privileged at any point but because of their desperate plot to annexย Kwara to the Lagos and their paymaster they are now about to use these vehicles as Greek gifts to deceive our people in exchange for our culture, tradition, and believe as a people.
“With their lackluster rally in Oke-Ero on Tuesday it is evident that they have failed in Kwara state. No plans or manifestos but a campaign built on hate speech and false sentiments.
“We challenge them to a debate on ideas and issues with our amiable, competent and experienced governorship candidate, Hon. Razak Atunwa, anytime anywhere in Kwara state.
