TAMPAN President, Mr Latin, makes insurance policy compulsory for practitioners

Newly elected national President of the Theatre Art and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan aka Mr Latin, has made insurance policy compulsory for members.
This is consequent upon the high record of deaths and practitioners bedridden in hospitals for various ailments in recent time.
An official statement released to the members on Tuesday reads: “It is now crystal clear that sicknesses and untimely death now plays prominence among members of our association.
“It requires proactive approach hence the decision of the National Executive Council of TAMPAN to distribute MEMBERSHIP REVALIDATION FORM to all members free of charge at the coming States General meeting in February 2019, which must be filled and returned to the State’s office within 2 weeks so as to know the actual membership strength for onward registration on the ongoing Association Website construction.
“To this end, the National Executive Council is working assiduously to negotiate with a reliable and reputable insurance organisation on Health Insurance Scheme which will be compulsory for all members at a very reduced rate.
‘Such scheme will be managed with open mindedness and fear of God as we cannot continue to mourn ourselves anymore on avoidable diseases and premature deaths. Though, death is inevitable. Prompt response to members’ health challenges has been our focus in the last 38 days and the present administration promises to live to expectations with your kind support to our lofty programmes,” the statement added.
