Gov Dankwambo Leads PDP Campaigns In Gombe, Receives Huge Defectors

Gombe State Governor Hassan Dankwambo has received thousands of defectors from some of the political parties into the fold of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) including a serving member of the state assembly, Hon. Maigari Jungudo during campaign rallies held in Dukku, Nafada and Funakaye local government areas of the State.

The governor in his address warned that security agencies have been mandated to deal with anybody plotting any act of violence during the conduct of the 2019 general elections, just as he asked women to stop using henna (lalle) until after the elections and urged that they vote for the PDP.

In a press statement signed by the Chairman Media and Publicity of the PDP Campaign Council in the State, Dahiru Hassan Kera, the Governor made this statement while addressing thousands of party’s supporters at campaign rallies held in Dukku, Nafada and Funakaye local government areas.

He said; “As responsible leaders, we have obligation to ensure that citizens’ political choices are respected and that they are allowed to exercise their civic duties without any form of harassment. We therefore warn all those nursing any idea of political violence to steer clear of Bauchi state”.

While commending the Independent National Electoral Commission for introducing the use of card reader in accrediting voters, Governor Dankwambo urged women who constitute the highest voting block to suspend the use of henna until after the elections because the card reader will not accredit those who use it.

The governor also used the occasion to assure that all ongoing projects in the state will be commissioned by his administration.

The State Chairman of the PDP, commended them for joining the party in the onerous task of nation building.

The PDP 2019 Campaign Council in state assured the people that the PDP candidate will continue with the laudable programs of the Dankwambo administration in order to make the state better.

The campaign council also urged the electorates to ensure that they voted for the PDP presidential candidate in order to repair what the present APC led federal government has damaged in the country
