Imam to Muslims: Be your brother’s keeper

The visiting Imam of Sultanat Mosque, Adewole Housing Estate, Ilorin, Ambali Abdulganeey has tasked Muslim faithful to lend helping hands to their brethren in Islam.
Abdulganeey gave the charge in his Jumaat service sermon before the two rakat congregational, last Friday.
He further urged Muslims to share in the pain and joy of other believers as well as identify with them whenever the need arises.
While stressing that all good acts will be rewarded by Allah, he encouraged adherents of Islam to assist the less privileged irrespective of their religious leaning.
“Help whosoever seeks help from you, according to your capability. Also ensure that you are a blessing to others wherever you find yourself,” the cleric advised.
The Imam reminded Muslims that Zakat is an act of giving to help others, urging faithfulto help others find their footing financially for better life.
He added that Islam preaches love, urging Muslim to care for their brethren and neighbours and co-exist peacefully with others.
