Market leaders in Kwara State have applauded the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki for patronising traders in the state during the Ramadan period.

The statement reads “We are deeply grateful to the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, who has consistently been patronising the traders of the Kwara Market Association, and more importantly for not making this year’s Ramadan an exception.”

“Since Sen. Saraki’s patronage during this Ramadan, the Kwara market men and women have witnessed an unprecedented scale in their sales and output. This has resulted in access to more financial capital which has been essential for them most importantly during the festive period as they have also been able to sustain their families and also expand their businesses.”

The leaders stressed that asides from the the growth and expansion that most of their businesses have witnessed within this short period, Saraki’s patronage across board has also stimulated the local Economy.

“No doubt, this has helped to boost local content production, stimulate the local Economy and also galvanised economic growth and development.”

Speaking further, they lauded the gesture of ranking Kwara state as one of the 10 most viable states in Nigeria for it’s sustainable Internally Generated Revenue.

“The news did not come as a surprise to many of us because the consistent patronage of local content that was demonstrated by Sen. Saraki has ensured strong business activities and by extension we are able to remit our taxes”

“We are calling on well meaning Kwarans to emulate Saraki’s consistent support for local content within the State which they described as noteworthy.
