I’ve no regrets, says Ahmed as he commissions Geri Alimi underpass
The immediate past Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has said that he has no regrets as he is leaving the state with improved infrastructure.
The Governor made the statement on Monday at the official commissioning of the Geri Alimi Underpass.
While noting that as Governor of Kwara State, he gave his best to the job because he was aware that the fate of many lies in his “decisions and priorities”.
Ahmed, who also listed other road projects that he said are simultaneously being commissioned alongside the underpass, said he only wished that he had access to more funds which could have enable him to do more.
He thereafter thanked the people of Kwara State for the opportunity given to him to serve the state as governor in the last eight years.
Dignitaries at the commissioning included the deputy Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Matthew Okedare, the Olofa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamasi, the representative of the Chief Justice of the state, Justice Salman Durosinlohun Kawu among others.
The Geri Alimi Underpass has now been officially opened for public use.
