The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq last Wednesday paid an unscheduled visit to Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA) with a promise to give the agency a new look.
A statement signed by the Press Secretary of the agency, Owolabi Abubakar said the Governor, who bemoaned the condition of infrastructure at the agency, said he would construct the road leading to the agency, information Division and News Agency of Nigeria to ease vehicular and pedestrian movement.
The governor added that he would renovate the KWASAA office by reconstructing the other dilapidated building to ensure conducive atmosphere for the workers to perform.
Addressing the issue of operational vehicle and official vehicle including the motorcycles for proper monitoring in rural areas, Abdulrazaq promised the agency a Hilux van in order for KWASAA to improve on its revenue drive.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Kwara State Ministry of Information and Communication, Alhaji Ganiyu Mustapha lamented the condition of the agency.
According to him, the operational vehicle of the agency cannot take the staff round Ilorin let alone other local government areas which, a situation he believed has hindered the smooth running of the agency for optimal performance.
The Governor was thereafter conducted round various offices in the Information Division unit of the Ministry of Information.
