Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has expressed shock, disbelief and sadness over the sudden death of Mr. Tunde Ashaolu, the Publicity Secretary of Kwara State PDP.
Ashaolu who celebrated his birthday on Saturday slumped on Sunday evening and died.
In a statement from the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Media Office in Abuja, signed by Olu Onemola, Saraki stated that “since we heard the news, my family, our friends, and our entire political structure across the nation have been shocked and heartbroken about the passing of Mr. Tunde Ashaolu, the Publicity Secretary of Kwara State PDP whose demise occurred on Sunday evening.
“Just on Saturday, while celebrating the 50th birthday of one of our political associates who is Tunde’s birthday mate, I told Tunde: “You are 47 now, don’t worry, when you get to 50, we will all still be here to celebrate you. Now, Tunde, our ‘one-man army’ is gone
“I am devastated by this loss because, in everything that he did, Tunde was exemplary. He was committed to his work; courageous with his words and press statements, and a helping hand to everyone around him.
“Today, as we mourn our dear Tunde, our comrade, our friend, our brother, a father, a husband, a son, and most importantly, a champion in our fight. we celebrate the tremendous impacted that he had on all of us throughout his life.
“My prayers are with his father, his wife, other members of his family — and all the friends that he has left behind, who in the hours since his death, have rallied round his family and embraced them through their support. Tunde will be dearly missed”, Saraki added.

Baraje condoles family, Saraki, PDP over Tunde Ashaolu’s death
The former acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Tafida of Ilorin, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, CON, has commiserated with the family of the Publicity Secretary of PDP in Kwara State, Mr Tunde Ashaolu, over his demise.
Baraje, who tweeted the condolence message via his twitter handle, @abubakarbaraje2, said he was shocked to the bone marrow when the news of abrupt transition of Tunde Ashaolu reached him, a day after his birthday.
He also revealed that the vacuum left by the young man would be so difficult to fill.
While praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased, Baraje extended his deepest condolence to the entire Ashaolu family, the national leader of the party, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, CON, and the Rt. Hon. Tunde Mohammed-led state executive of the party.

Ex-Governor Ahmed Mourns Tunde Ashaolu
Former Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has expressed sadness and disbelief at the death of Mr. Tunde Ashaolu, spokesman of the Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a message issued via Facebook, Alhaji Ahmed offered his sympathies to Ashaolu’s family, friends and all members of PDP.
“My brother, Tunde Ashaolu’s sudden passing, in his prime, saddens and shocks me. I offer my profound sympathies to his immediate family, friends, colleagues and PDP members.
Tunde was a versatile professional, committed party member and zealous Kwaran who diligently performed his duties with tremendous impact. May God uphold his family and grant his soul eternal rest.“

Ajibade mourns Kwara PDP PRO, Ashaolu
The National legal adviser of the main opposition party in the country, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Barrister Kamaldeen Ajibade SAN ,has expressed his sadness over the demise of the Kwara PDP spokesperson, Tunde Ashaolu who died on Sunday.
He made this known in a statement issued on behalf of the National working committee of the party, describing the late Ashaolu as a great asset to the party.
Ajibade said It is indeed a sad news especially at this period when Ashaolu’s wealth of experience is needed to reposition the party for victory at the forthcoming general election.
Adding that until his death, Ashaolu was a great asset to not only the PDP family but to the great people of kwara state at large who led by example and committed to every assignment that will bring development to his people.
The Senior advocate stressed that ,the late PRO will be sorely missed by those who came across him as his demise is an irreplaceable loss
He however urged the family to take heart and be comforted in the very fact that Ashaolu left a great legacy which all members of the family must endeavor to sustain.
Ajibade on behalf of the leadership of the Party, prayed pray to God to comfort the bereaved family especially his wife and children.

Tunde Ashaolu: He was a gift to us all!!!
Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim says he is still in disbelief and a sad mood following the shocking demise of the Kwara State Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Tunde Ashaolu.
In a statement issued on Monday in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, Sen Rafiu said he is pained to hear of the untimely death of such a beautiful soul who is uniquely rich and wealthy at heart.
The Kwara South lawmaker said the vacuum left behind by Ashaolu who turned 47 a day before his death will be hard to fill.
He said, “He was such a gift to the world and our political family. His commitment to our team was unequalled, and his intelligence distinct, as he was always proffering the most brilliant of solutions to knotty issues at the cheapest cost.
While describing the late media practitioner as patriotic, selfless and highly professional, he admitted his admiration for his character of always soliciting for others, and never for himself.
“He will always be remembered for his professionalism in the conduct of his duty as the party’s spokesperson,” he said.
Sen Rafiu, who said he’ll miss their personal relationship, recalled how amiably, the late Ashaolu refers to him as a blood brother as if they were born together.
“I spoke to him at about 2.30pm few hours to his last breath and it was him who initiated the call asking about my interest, definitely, not his own as usual.”
“He hardly worried about himself, but always worried about people around him even me that I am somewhat more than him. “
The Senator condoled with the family of the deceased, leader of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the party, and people of Kwara for losing a loved one.
He prayed to God to console the bereaved and rest the soul of the dear departed.
“Good night my dear brother”, the senator submitted.

Bolaji Abdullahi mourns Ashaolu, Kwara PDP publicity secretary
Former Minister of sports and Kwara Central Senatorial aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has mourned the passing of the publicity secretary of the party in Kwara, Mr. Tunde Ashaolu.
Abdullahi described the death of Ashaolu, just a day after his birthday celebrations, as heartbreaking and unbelievable.
While recalling the outstanding attributes of the deceased, the former Minister recalled the genuineness with which the late Ashaolu approached any given task, especially those relating to his job as the image maker of PDP in Kwara State. He said Ashaolu was not just a dignified democrat, but one whose keen sense of inclusive politics endears him to all strata of the party membership.
While commiserating with the leader of PDP in Kwara, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the chairman of the party, Mr. Babatunde Mohammed, other executive and members Kwara PDP; and the immediate family of Ashaolu; Abdullahi urged friends and associates of the deceased to take solace in the omnipotent power of Allah who alone gives and takes lives as He pleases. He prayed God to repose the soul of the late PRO, forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds.

Ashaolu: A Cerebral Is Gone, says AbdulRauph
A former Legislative Aide to the president of the 8th senate, Hon. AbdulRauph Olayinka AbdulSalam, has expressed sadness over the demise of Mr Tunde Ashaolu.
Late Ashaolu died on Sunday in Abuja, some hours after his birthday.
In his condolence message, AbdulRauph, said the news of the Oke-Ero-born Tunde Ashaolu, who was until his sudden death, the Publicity Secretary of Kwara State PDP, was pathetic and shocking.
Tunde Ashaolu, according to the former Secretary to Moro Local Government, was “a professional publicist, an accomplished politician and a perfect gentleman whose intellectual prowess and impactful life would be sorely missed.
“The astute image maker lived a short but meaningful life. His contributions towards promoting the image of our party, human capacity building, socio-political development and peaceful co-existence among family and friends is unquantifiable,” AbdulRauph said.
He, however, sympathized with his family, the leader of the party, Dr Bukola Saraki, the entire PDP family both in Kwara and Nigeria. While he prayed God Almighty grant the departed soul eternal rest and grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Tunde Ashaolu is thanking everyone for standing firmly with his aged father, beautiful wife, children and families.
Tunde Ashaolu said, “don’t stand at my grave weeping, I am not there, my body and soul is with the lord who love me more than you all do”.
My leader, His Excellency Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has never been this grief, and I wouldn’t have picked up the call if I had known I am this loved by friends and family.
Tunde Ashaolu Have only gone away out of a restless world, charged us to complete his unfinished tasks. Of course, it is always sad to say goodbye, but life has to go on and you have to keep on living it to the best of your abilities.
Tunde Ashaolu is not dead, he has left his big and open heart and shall forever remain with us to nurture.
His father, his wife, his wife and his children, his children and his children may they all not been forsaken.

The former Executive Chairman, Kwara State Local Government Service Commission, Hajia Sarat Adebayo, has said that she is still in rude shock over the passing of her brother, the State Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State, Mr Tunde Ashaolu.
Mr Ashaolu who celebrated his 47th birthday on Saturday 26th February was reported dead on Sunday evening 27th February, without any sign of illness.
“My brother, Tunde Ashaolu, was very rich at heart and prioritized the wellbeing of everyone around him. He made himself available for me when I needed a brother. Infact, I am still not in term with the reality that you have gone.”
“As an astute media practitioner, Tunde did his duties diligently with high level of professionalism. No doubt, he will be dearly missed for his commitment, dedication and loyalty to our political Leader, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the PDP family and the entire Saraki political structure.
“Even during the storm, you remained my confidant and was everywhere around me. It’s not only painful to believe you are gone but quite difficult to come out of the shock. As you foundly called me, “my sister”, you have left a big vacuum which will be very difficult if not impossible to fill,” she said.
“Your passing has thought us all a lesson and also a softy reminder that after all struggles, we die.”
“My condolences and prayers are with your aged father, dear wife, children, sister and every loved ones at this moment of grief.”

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is heartbroken and heavily grieved over the death of Kwara State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Tunde Ashaolu, describing his death as a national tragedy and inexpressible Sunset at Dawn.
Indeed, the PDP family grieves; we are devastated and our hearts bleed. Tunde’s death is a shattering blow, not only to our great Party but also to our dear nation and humanity at large.
Tunde was an exceptionally patriotic Nigerian, a quintessential publicist, dedicated and humble team player; highly organized personality, remarkably honest, cerebral, outspoken and loyal Partyman who committed his life in the fight for the entrenchment of democratic tenets of good governance, equity, justice and the Rule of Law in our country.
As a democrat, Tunde Ashaolu remained loyal to the ideals of the PDP and made inestimable contributions to the growth and development of our great Party at both the State and National levels, particularly in our current mission as a Party to Rescue and Rebuild our nation from misrule.
The PDP is deeply pained that Tunde Ashaolu is leaving the stage at the time our great Party and dear nation, Nigeria needs his selfless service the most.
The PDP commiserates with the Ashaolu family, the Kwara State PDP Executive Committee, the Kwara State PDP fold as well as the entire people of Kwara State and pray God to grant Tunde eternal rest as well as give his family and our great Party the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Isin PDP Mourns Tunde Ashaolu’s Death, Commiserates with Families, Friends
The Isin LG chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), today commiserated with the families, friends, political associates of Kwara PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr Tunde Ashaolu, over his demise, saying the deceased was passionate about the development of Kwara state and deepening of her democracy.
The party expressed its grief in a statement endorsed by the LG Chairman, Hon Daniel O. Aremu, aka Ola Jesu which was made available to journalists in Oke Onigbin earlier today.
Hon Ola Jesu stressed that people of Isin particularly PDP members received the news of Ashaolu’s demise with devastating shock owing to the circumstances which surrounded his death shortly after his 47th birthday anniversary, held in FCT, Abuja in which the leader, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki availed himself to honor him.
The chairman noted that Kwara state PDP is going through trying times at the moment with the death of its capacity Publicity Secretary who had served the party and people of Kwara with all sense of commitments and purpose.
“We therefore, with heavy heart, commiserate with the aged father, Elder Ashaolu, the wife, siblings, friends, the people of Odo owa and of course Kwara state people who are touched by the pains of this loss.”
“Our thoughts and prayers also go to the bereaved sister, Tayo Ashaolu and our dear leader, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON), whom in all ramifications have reposed so much confidence and trust on deceased throughout his active engagements in our party.

Kwara APC condoles with PDP over PRO”s death.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, Kwara State Chapter says it shares the pains of its opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over the saddening and unfortunate passing of their State Publicity Secretary, Tunde Ashaolu.
In a statement by the party, on Sunday, the APC acknowledged that Ashaolu, by virtue of his position and actions as the Kwara State Publicity Secretary of the PDP had given himself to the patriotic task of deepening the political conversation in Kwara state.
“We also commiserate with members of the deceased family whom the late Ashaolu has left behind.
“We pray with a fervency that the PDP family and the members of the immediate family of the deceased will find the fortitude to bear the loss and strength to carry on in this tragic moment. Please do accept our deepest condolences,” the statement read.
