Kwara Gov in alleged achievement scam
...as man cries out over listing of venture as part of AbdulRazaq's 2nd yr scorecard

Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration is embroiled in controversy over an alleged achievement scam.
A commercial farmer, Sulaiman Sudan has raised the alarm over the alleged listing of his farm as part of the second year achievements of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State.
The agricultural venture, Mur Farm is situated at Wara in Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state.
The farmer through his lawyer, Ibrahim Abdullahi Salaty accused the state government of deceit and scam.
In a petition titled: ‘O to gee and its administration is a scam and deceit’, the management of Mur Farms denied going into partnership with the state government in any way or form.
It was alleged that the state Governor following a visit to the farm had promised to give the management financial support but reneged on the pledge.
Sudan claimed that the achievement scam is an antic by the Governor’s aide, Razaq Jiddah to hoodwink members of the public.
The petition reads thus: “To set the record straight, on the 23rd day of April 2021, Mr Razaq Jidda with the telephone number 08033207333 put a call across to me (Sulaimon Sudan) informing me that the Governor was on his way to our farm situated at Wara village, Ilorin West Local Government area, Kwara State, to inspect the level of damages occasioned by the heavy down pour in the month of April and to access the extent of damages caused by the natural disaster.
“I quickly rushed down to receive the Governor. Having conducted proper assessment by the Governor, the latter, however, promised to come to our aid and told us to write a formal letter directing it to the Governor himself for financial support, we wrote the letter as instructed.
“However, some few days ago, we noticed billboards mounted at some strategic locations across Ilorin metropolis showcasing purported achievements of Governor AbdulRazaq to mark his two years in office where it showed the pictures of our farm as part of the achievement.”
The petitioner, however, lamented that the development has endangered his life and that of staff of the farm.
“To our dismay, we have been receiving phone calls from different quarters, our lives are under threat on the general assumption that we have received millions of naira from the Governor. In addition, few days ago, a gang of hoodlums stormed our farm at Wara village with matchete and other dangerous weapons, threatening to terminate our lives having seen our farm enlisted as part of AbdulRazaq’s achievement and on o assumption that we have received millions of naira from the Governor.
“We, however, call on the general public to come to our aid as we can not move freely as a citizen.
“In conclusion, we state categorically that we did not receive any kobo either from the Governor or through his aide and we urge the Governor to conduct holistic investigation on Mr Razaq Jidda in order not to drag the Government into the mud as he is the prime suspect in this transaction.”
