A Civil Society Organization, Due Process Ambassadors (DPA), Northern Kwara Province has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) member of the House of Representatives representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency, Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene, of certificates forgery.

Ndakene was alleged by DPA of presenting forged statement of results of Secondary School and University to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to contest in the poll.

The allegation was contained in a statement issued by the group’s Secretary General, Architect Sulieman Bako, and made available to Journalists.

The group said its preliminary investigations revealed that the House of Representatives member did not possess both original certificates of Government Science College, Kagara , Niger State for his Senior School Certificate (SSCE) and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaira, which he claimed to have obtained in the documents he submitted to INEC.

“Up till now, Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene had been unable to present his certificate from ABU despite false claims he graduated from the university in 1999 , he had also bamboozled his unintelligent supporters that he had gone to obtain his original  certificate of late but none among them could be bold enough to ask him to show them copy of this certificate.

“That Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene from his profiles extracted at INEC database lied under the oath of graduating from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria on February 24th ,1998, a position which our investigations to the prestigious University had disclaimed in oughtrightly.

“That he also submitted a forged paper bearing the name of Ahmadu Bello University, which he presented as statement of results before INEC officials in order to obtain clearance to participate in the last general elections. Credible findings have also established that this paper did not originate from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria as falsely claimed by Ndakene and his co travelers

“That he paraded a Letter Head sheet purportedly obtained in 1990 from Government Science College, Kagara , Niger State as his School Certificate with Pass(D7)  in both English and Mathematics, 5 credits in other subjects and with this he claimed to have gotten admission to study Economics at ABU. This is very questionable as prestigious institution such as ABU would not have offered any candidate admission into such department without passing English and Mathematics on credit grade levels .

“That Ndakene in his fraudulent manipulation also obtained one police extract, which he presented to INEC in place of SSCE certificate with a sordid claim that he had lost his original certificate obtained from WASCE in 1990”, the group said.
