Championship Roundup: Balogun benched in Wigan’s home win; Eze shines despite QPR loss to Charlton

Leon Balogun sat out Wigan Athletic’s 2-0 home win against Blackburn Rovers at the DW Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The centre-back who missed last weekend’s 2-0 away win against Huddersfield Town through injury featured in Tuesday’s friendly against Fleetwood.
Balogun has featured in six Sky Bet Championship games for the Latics since his arrival from Brighton & Hove Albion in January.
Nigerian-born defender Tosin Adarabioyo played the entire duration of the game for Blackburn Rovers.
At the Valley, Eberechi Eze put up a fine performance in Queens Park Rangers’ 1-0 loss to Charlton Athletic.
His companion, Bright Osayi-Samuel was also in action for the visitors.
Eze played on the left-wing for QPR, while Osayi-Samuel was deployed on the right-wing.
Eze, who featured for the entirety of the contest has now played 40 matches in this campaign for QPR across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists.
Osayi-Samuel played for 71 minutes before he was replaced by Aramide Oteh.
In another game, Ovie Ejaria played for 82 minutes in Reading’s 2-1 away defeat at Derby County.
The midfielder was replaced by Kenyan forward Ayub Masika.
Ejaria has scored thrice in 34 league games for the Royals this season.
