EFCC: Saraki’s victory, hope for democracy – KEV

The victory of former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, at the Federal High Court in a case filed by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has been described as hope for democracy in Nigeria.

An apolitical and Non Governmental Organization, Kwara Emerging Voice (KEV), in a congratulatory signed by its state Chairman, Alhaji Ahmed Bayero prayed that Almighty Allah will continue to vindicate Saraki against all plots of his enemies.

It would be recalled that the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court had last week ordered the return of two houses belonging to former Nigeria Senate President Bukola Saraki that were forfeited to the Nigerian government.

The Federal High Court in Lagos in 2019, ordered the interim forfeiture of two properties located at Ilorin, Kwara State capital.

KEV in its message acknowledged Saraki’s resilience saying, “The supreme excellence is not to win a hundred victories in a hundred battles. The supreme excellence is to subdue the armies of your enemies without even having to fight them.

It added, “your recent victory was another hope for our democracy in Nigeria and Kwarans rejoiced over your leadership styles. Your contributions towards youth development and your selfless services to humanity shall continue to lead you to the right path in the face of your enemies. Once again, congratulations to you the Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin and its environs.”
