NSCDC nabs wanted suspect in Ilorin

It was an end of the road for a motorcycle robber, Saliu Taofeek as he was arrested last Tuesday in Ilorin, Kwara State by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), state Command.
The Suspect who had been on the wanted list of the NSCDC was sighted by operatives in one popular supermarket in Ilorin while shopping.
It was gathered that the suspect, who was caught for motorcycle theft sometime in May, escaped arrest and had since been on the run.
Speaking on the development, the spokesperson of the Command, Babawale Afolabi who confirmed the arrest, said that a manhunt had been launched for the suspect since the time he evaded arrest.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Afolabi.
“All efforts to apprehend him since then had proved abortive until he was picked up at a supermarket along Taiwo Road in llorin.
“Around 1113 hours on Tuesday, two operatives from Akerebiata Division, who were on a surveillance around Taiwo road in Ilorin sighted a suspect who has been on a wanted list for a while.
The suspect was accused of stealing of motorcycle and has since been on the run.”
According to him, the suspected thief has since been in custody of the state Command of the NSCDC, while he would be charged to court upon completion of further investigations.
