People of Kwara state have been admonished on the importance of peaceful coexistence in order to bring dividend of democracy to individuals and the respective Communities.
The Chairman, Transition Implementation Committee (TIC), Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Hon. Olajide Asonibare gave the advice while addressing newsmen in Ilorin, the state capital, recently.
Asonibare who also doubles as the ALGON chairman in Kwara state charged the people of Kwara state across the board to shun all form of vices that will tarry the socio-economic development of the council area rather should embrace peaceful co-existence and cooperate with the present administration in the state.
He added that, the people should remain focused, disciplined and continue to remain united and should always speak in one voice as a sign of their unity that will bring socio-economic development, stable political life and prosperity to the local council and the state at large.
In the statement, “The Chairman, admonished youths and other women groups to key into different economic programmes at the state level that will improve their economic life and make them more prosperous” he said.
Hon. Olajide Asonibare in part of his address, disclosed that ALGON in the state is networking ,making contacts and strategically ready to get a land to build its secretariat and guest chalets to solve the problems of office space and a place for members outside the state capital to stay anytime they are around on official duties.
The council chairman however entreated the people to support the efforts of the security operatives and urged them to always alert the security officers of strange movement and faces.
Adding that, the people should avoid travelling at night, also urging them to be their brothers keeper at all times.
