It is going to be an ecstatic and gracious moment for Prof Jeleel Olasunkanmi Ojuade and his family as he is set to be bestowed with double honours both from the academic field and the traditional institution.
Come Thursday, 11th of November, the University of Ilorin will hold its 208th inaugural lecture, in honour of the new Professor, Jeleel Ojuade at the University’s main auditorium.
The Inaugural lecture titled, ‘Dance is life, life is Dance: A cyclical Nature of Man on Earth’ is a significant milestone in the academic’s career and a celebration of his promotion to the rank of Professor.
The event which is set to hold around 5pm to 6pm will be chaired by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Sulyman Abdulkareem Age.
The second phase of the celebration will be on Saturday, 13th of this month, at the palace of Olubosin of Ifetedo, Osun state, where Ojuade will be conferred with a chieftaincy title, as the Aare Alasa of Ifetedo Kingdom.
The ceremony is set to commence at around 10am in the morning, when the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Akinola Oyetade Akinrera, Latiiri I, Olubosin of Ifetedo Kingdom, will put the Akoko leaves to head of the Academician.
