AbdulRazaq can’t fool us again – Party stalwart
...says reconciliation move, figment of gov's imagination

By Mike Adeyemi
A stalwart of All Progressive Congress, APC in the state, Com. Abdul – Raoof Bello fondly called Labelabe has said the purported reconciliation move to bring to an end the crisis in the Kwara APC is a figment of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s imagination, describing it an effort in futility.
Bello stated this yesterday while answering questions from our reporter through any telephone calls.
According to him, ‘the junketing around by the Fagbemi led Kwara APC can’t yield fruitful result because I am yet to see any reconciliation mechanism.’
“I’m not aware of any reconciliation in Kwara APC. I said this because the meaning of reconciliation to me is to sit down with the warring parties to discuss issues and come to term. I have not seen that in Kwara.
“Rather, what I saw is one party junketing around the place moving from Ila – Orogun to Abuja and Lagos soliciting support to influence in a crisis ignited by themselves, ” he said.
Bello added that, the purported attempts to lay to rest the crisis in the party is nothing but a noise, saying the warring parties have not come together in order to give room for dialogue.
“That reconciliation is a figment of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s imagination. The Governor has proverbially eaten palatable meal meant for the whole house and now chosen to postulate thinking he can fool the party again to forgive him. That would not happen, ” the focal APC stalwart stressed.
He further added that the Buni led caretaker committee is not interested in reconciling anybody in the party, as his mission of hijacking the party for his governor colleague has been achieved.
“The Buni led caretaker committees are not interested in ending the crisis in the party. It is like a mission accomplished. Buni have come to hijack the party for the governors.
“One of the warring faction – the APC loyalists have severally lodged complaints to the national executives about misdeed of the party in Kwara, but it fell on deaf ears.
“The caretaker committee sent appeal panel to states where there was disputes aftermath of the Congresses. Those sent to Kwara didn’t meet with the warring parties,” he affirmed.
The aggrieved APC stalwart however said that the possibility of settling the crisis in the Kwara APC is unlikely, as those who are flirting on the schism have not shown desire for reconciliation.
“I don’t see any hope of bringing to an end the crisis. But in politics 24 hours is a very long time. Tomorrow something miraculous may happen and the whole things might take a shape,” Bello said.
