Kwara North drum support for Saraki presidential ambition

The stakeholders from the Kwara North senatorial district of the state have resounded their support for the immediate past President of the Nigerian Senate,Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki in his aspiration to become the President of Nigeria.
This was contained in a communique issued at the Town hall meeting organized by a political forum, the Kwara North Torchbearers,held at Tsaragi on Saturday.
In the communique,the forum reiterate their support for Saraki’s bid for the Nation’s ‘Top Job’ ,stating that, “The group also support the aspiration of Dr. Bukola Saraki to become president of Nigeria
The 12-item statement was signed by the chairman of the forum,Alh.Ishiaku Adam along with other members, such as Alh.Ahmadu Dabarako,Alh. Issa Adara, Alh. Abdullahi S. Musa and Alh. Musa Boriya.
Also in the communique, the group lament the perpetual marginalization of region in all aspect of the state polity ,the group however assured that, “this is the best time to seek redress.”
They emphasized that the Senatorial District must all stand up for justice and equitable distribution of opportunities among the 5 local government areas of the zone ,they also asserted that the region deserves the establishment of a special and purposive development driven agency.
The communique however charged politicians of Kwara North extraction to rededicate themselves to championing the collective priority of their people which is development, rather their selfish and personal aspirations which is about sharing spoils of office.
The political forum stress that,the priority of region is bridging its developmental deficit and thus will throw its support behind anybody that can guarantee the development of Kwara North.
They however stressed that Bukola Saraki is the leader of the party who knows most of the people showing interest in the position as he has worked with them in the past,assuring that anyone picked by Saraki and PDP will be supported.
In other part of the statement,the group decried the poor quality of education,infrastructure and employment in the region, urging the government to declare a state of emergency on infrastructure, Education and Unemployment .
The forum noted that the Town Hall meeting is the inaugural engagement promising that it will be rotated among the five local government area in Kwara North.
