Victorious Kwara Falcons charged to keep flying
The Director of Sports, Kwara State Sports Council, Mallam Tunde Kazeem has charged the victorious Kwara Falcons to sustain their winning streak and earn a continental ticket for the state.
MallamKazeem gave the charge today in Ilorin when he received Kwara Falcons who won the just concluded Atlantic Conference eight playoffs of the 2018 Kwese Premier Basketball League held in Lagos.
The Director followed the trends of their games and was pleased with the performance of the team.
He commended the technical crew and the team for making the state proud by bringing the trophy to the state.
MallamKazeem who is the Chairman, Nigeria Directors of Sports also congratulated the gallant D’Tigress in the quarter final fit of the 2018 FIBA World Cup in Spain.
Also speaking, the Chairman, Kwara State Basketball Association, Doctor Joseph Adeyemo disclosed that the team had won three consecutive Atlantic Conference eight trophies.
He explained that Kwara Falcons won fourteen matches(7 in the regular season and 7 in the playoffs) to emerge winner in the Atlantic Conference held at the digital bridge institute, oshodi, Lagos and hoped that the team would earn a continental ticket at final eight scheduled to hold in Kano next month.

He assured the players that their performance would not go unnoticed as he solicited the support of all stakeholders to enable the team succeed in Kano.
In his response, the Captain, Kwara Falcons, Anaiye Johnson promised to proceed for the final eight in Kano next week with renew vigour.
Johnson thanked all who contributed to the success of the team despite challenges and assured Kwarans that the team would earn a continental ticket.
