Kwara NUJ announces dates to commence Press Week

The Kwara state Council of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) has announce the dates for this year’s edition of the Press Week.
This is according to an invitation letter jointly signed by the state Chairman, Abdulazeez Arowona and Secretary, Adamu Usman and addressed Managing Director and editor-in-chief of National Pilot newspaper, Alhaji Billy Adedamola.
According to the letter, the 3-day Press week which will be filled with activities is billed to commence at 10am on Wednesday, 5th of October, starting with a medical checkup for 250 members of the Council at the NUJ press centre in Ilorin.
This is to be followed by a novelty match with the Nigeria Bar Association at the St Anthony’s Secondary school at 4pm.
They also planned a public lecture titled, “2023 Polls: Effective media coverage amidst insecurity” which is to be delivered by the Head of Department of Mass communication, University of Ilorin, Prof. Adeshina Lukman Azeez at the press centre at 10am on Thursday.
The event will be concluded on Friday, 7th of October with a Dinner and Award night to be held at Banquet hall, Ilorin at 6:30pm.
