Tems, CKay, and Fireboy will battle for the ‘Best New Artiste’ gong at the 2022 edition of the Soul Train Awards scheduled to hold on November 27.
The trio were nominated in the category alongside Coco Jones, Dixson, Doechii, Muni Long, and Steve Lacy.
Burna Boy was nominated in ‘Video of the Year’, ‘The Ashford and Simpson Songwriter’s Award’, and ‘Song of the Year’ categories for his hit song titled ‘Last Last’.
Wizkid also made the cut in the ‘Best Dance Performance’ and ‘Best Collaboration’ categories for his role in ‘Call Me Everyday’, a song by Chris Brown.
Beyoncé and Mary J. Blige had the highest number of nominations for this year’s edition with seven entries each.
The 2022 edition of the award, which celebrates the best in soul, R&B and hip-hop music, will be hosted by Deon Cole, the actor and comedian.
The event will take place in Las Vegas in the United States.
