The lawmaker representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives has said he is committed to fulfilling all the campaign promises he made to the people during his election in 2015.
Atunwa, who recently completed and delivered blocks of classroom to his constituents at Wara LGEA tweeted about the project on Wednesday.
According to the tweet through personal handle @Atunwa_1, the former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly said โCompleted and Delivered: Block of classrooms at Wara LGEA School, Asa Local Government. Hon Atunwa is committed to delivering every of his campaign promiseโ with the hash tags. โ#PromiseMade #PromiseKept cc @IlorinInfo @bukolasaraki @AbdulfataAhmedโ.
Atunwa had splashed over N60m on his constituency few months ago during the disbursement of empowerment materials to his constituents.
He said the huge amount being expended then towards the empowerment of his people was phase one, adding that phase 2 and 3 of the programme will come on stream shortly.
Explaining further the rationale behind the programme, Atunwa has noted it was meant to give back to the people and further provide the dividends of democracy.
โEverything I do is for the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, don’t say Atunwa did this for you, rather say Saraki did it for you.
Dr Saraki is my party, anywhere he goes I followโ, Atunwa added.
Items distributed include buses, motorcycles, sewing and grinding machines, clippers and various cash awards.
