2019: Kwara monarch advises politicians to make peace watchword

The Owa Oloota of Odo Owa, Oba Joshua Adeyemi Adimula has called on Nigerians and all political stakeholders to make peace and orderliness their watchwords ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Oba Adimula made the call while speaking at the 2019 annual prayer organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Odo Owa anxillary held in his palace.
The monarch explained that development could only take place under a peaceful atmosphere calling on the people to shun violence.
He urged the people living in the town to come out enmasse and participate in the forthcoming general elections to ensure the growth of the Nation’s democracy and development in the State.
Oba Adimula implored those residing in the town to hold special prayer for the success of the polls and also attend the three day power packaged revival organised by CAN beginning from today at the Oloota’s palace starting at five o clock in the evening of each day.
He appreciated the efforts of some indigenes of the town who had contributed to the building of its Police post calling on others to emulate the gesture and render necessary assistance to ensure its completion and the development of security in the area.
