First Kwara 3×3 Under-15 Basketball Championship gets tip-Off date

 

In line with sporting activities to mark Governor Abdulrahman Adulrazaq’s one hundred days in office, the Kwara state basketball has concluded plans to successfully stage the inaugural edition of 3 on 3 basketball tournament between 8th and 9th August, 2019.
Chairman of the association, Dr. Joseph Adeyemo, confirmed on Monday that the technical committee of the body has put everything in place for the event which will also be used to select and prepared players to represent Kwara in the forthcoming National youth games set for September at University of Ilorin.
The association revealed that seven male and four female teams have been picked across the state to participate in the tournament.
While briefing newsmen in Ilorin, Dr Adeyemo said Prizes and medals will be awarded to the winners in both categories of the championship which has also been earmarked to keep the young ones updated on the latest rules and guidelines in the game.
The event will see selected boys and girls from the age of fifteen downward, represent schools and teams for the two days championship billed for the indoor sports hall of the Kwara state stadium.
