Leave Saraki out of your media war – Kwara PDP scribe warns Gov

The Organising Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in
Kwara State, Mallam Sulyman Buhari has advised the Kwara State
Government and its supporters to properly focus their complaint about
a story published by a newspaper based in the state, the National
Pilot, on the alleged purchase of bullet proof vehicles instead of
making insinuations that “a top politician” was behind the story, a
veiled reference to former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola
Saraki.
Buhari in a statement in Ilorin at the weekend stated that only those
who are new comers to the politics of Kwara State and those he called
mischievous pretenders would claim not to know that though Dr. Saraki
owned the National Pilot newspaper, he does not in any way interfere
with the activities of the newspaper and cannot be blamed for whatever
the newspaper writes.
He also noted that it should be clear to members of the present
government in Kwara State and their supporters that Dr. Saraki is not
interested in interfering with what the government does and how it
manages its affairs.
“Is it the former Senate President who has no time for the government
and its activities that will now be sponsoring stories about trivial
issues like purchase of cars? If anybody in the present government in
Kwara State has a complaint about a story in National Pilot, the
person should take the matter up with the management.
“They should stop making cheap insinuations and leave Dr. Saraki out
of their matter. The government is not being disturbed by anybody. We
are all ready to give the Governor the chance to deliver on his
numerous promises and the administration should stop distracting
itself. The government should focus on delivery on its promises,”
Buhari stated.
