Minister announces Wednesday resumption for Lagos, Abuja

…Kano, P/H 11th, others 15th, silent on Int’l flights

Minister of Aviation Senator Hadi Sirika has announced the resumption of domestic flight operations from July the 8th, 2020 with the Murtala Muhammed Airport and the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.

This is just as he has put the resumption of Kano, Port Harcourt and Maiduguri Airports at July the 11th, four days after the Lagos and Abuja opening while he announced that other airports will open four days after that on July the 15th.

According to him, the date for international airports reopening will be announced in due course.

Sirika in his tweet wrote, “I am glad to announce that Abuja and Lagos will resume domestic operations on the 8th of July, 2020. Kano, Port Harcourt and Maiduguri to resume on the 11th. Other airports on the 15th. Date for international to be announced in due course. Bear with us please,” he announced.

Recall, Federal Government approved the resumption of domestic flights in the country and also lifted the ban placed on interstate travels with effect from July 1, provided such journeys are made outside curfew hours.
