Nat’l Pilot pays courtesy visits to S.O. Muhammad

An Islamic body, SOMA Islamic law consultancy services under the aegis of the Retired grand Kadi of Kwara State Shariah Court of Appeal, Hon.Justice (Dr) Solihu Olohuntoyin Muhammad, hosts the National Pilot newspaper.
Honourable Justice Muhammad, thanks the medium for paying a courtesy visit to the SOMA office, located at Royal valley estate, kulende area of Ilorin Kwara state ,yesterday.
He showered encomium on the medium for its style of reportage and practice of journalism which he described to be top notch .
According to the retired Islamic jurist, SOMA consultancy, organizes a forum for the propagation of Islamic values among people.


“Here we organize an Islamic class whereby people come for Quranic education every Monday and Wednesday from all works of life,with many dignitaries in attendance, even the royal fathers are not left out, the likes of Olosi of Osi, Oba Saliu Adasofegbe ,Olojoku of Ojoku, Oba Abdulrazaq Afolabi among others.
“Apart from the weekly classes of Mondays and Wednesdays, we also organize Tafsir, which is Quranic commentary, every first Wednesday of the month, which is always well attended by a lot of people.
“This class is an avenue for people to learn Quran better, mostly for the civil servants especially the retired, who did not have the time to learn it due to time constraints because of the rigour of their work” he said.
Muhammad also called on the people across all faiths to embrace each other in oneness and see each others as comrades in progress.
“Muslims and Christians should learn to tolerate and respect one another in order to Forster peace and unity in the community, because we share a lot of similarities more than differences” he added.
In his remark, the Managing director and Editor in Chief of National Pilot newspaper, Alhaji Billy Adedamola expressed his gratitude to the host, for his warm welcome.
He also thanked him for being a very wonderful person to him and standing by him all these years and for his service to the humanity over the years.
S.O Muhammad also took national pilot on a tour of his office where he showed a compilation of his publications,judgments and Orders made while in service.
He however promised to do a public presentation of his writings upon the request of the present Chief justice of Nigeria,justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad and edited by professor Dan Fulani.
The respected Jurist in his remark, extolled the indelible impact of the former Senate President ,Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki,on the state and Nigeria as a whole.
He added that, “Saraki, although we don’t have a personal relationship, but his legacies in the state are out there for all to see, with the none of the subsequent administration have been able to match his impact on the lives of the people of the state”.
