The Onikate of Ikate, Oba Saheed Elegushi and the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi will play host to dignitaries as leading movie marketer; Almaroof Ekundayo Afolayan weds his heartthrob, Princess Lateefat Oyebiola on December 31, 2017.
According to a statement by the Chief Executive Officer of Almaroof Standard Investment, the Nikkah, which will hold 10 am at the Offa Descendants Union (ODU) hall, Offa, Offa Local Government, Kwara State will be followed by reception at same venue.
The wedding will herald the chieftaincy title of the Oloba of Sanmora community, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, to be bestowed on Almaroof.
Among the celebrities expected to grace the event is Iyabo Ojo, Muyiwa Ademola, Femi Adebayo, Olaniyi Afonja, Wale Okunnu, Dayo Amusa and Funke Etti. Also expected are high profile movie and music marketers across the country.
Also expected at the event is the Vice Chancellor, University of Ilorin, Prof. Sulyman Abdulkareem Age and his Kwara State University (KWASU) counterpart, Prof. Abdulrasheed Na’Allah.
Ronke Ojo (Oshodi Oke) and Wale Promo will anchor the event while King Saheed Osupa will entertain the guests.
The dress code is Nigeria green for the groom’s family and champagnes gold for relatives of the bride.
Speaking on the event, Almaroof informed our reporter that all arrangements have been put in place to ensure a hitch-free occasion including the aso-ebi and invitation which have been distributed to attendees.
“I was surprised at the number of A-list actors and actresses that have signified interest to be part of my wedding. Some of those in the entertainment industry had even promised to offer free service on the day as gratitude for the impact I have made in their careers.
“At the film launch of Funke Etti at the weekend in Ikeja, the Nollywood actors present walked up to me and promised their presence saying they have already registered the event in their diary. Some of them have already purchased the aso-ebi in addition to reaching out to Kunle Afod, who is in-charge of accommodation for the event,” Almaroof informed National Pilot.
