The government at all levels must not only provide circus television at all strategic points in towns and villages, but must ensure regular supply of electricity to facilitate easy identification of the suspects, particularly the men of underworld who take diligent in maiming and killing of innocent citizens. Apart from providing the law enforcement agents with necessary equipment, the provision of job opportunity for youths and citizenry in general by the various governments can be a great asset in crime prevention and detection, government must ensure that both the old and young are properly employed since an idle minds is a devil’s workshop. The government must improve in all poverty alleviation programme for the electorates, life support polices capable of reducing the suffering of those above the 70years old living in all nooks and crannies of the state must be introduce by the government so that the labour of our heroes past shall not be in vain.
Our elders need government care and attention, at the age of 70, they need the support of all and sundry. This is the practice in advance and attention. I would like to seize this opportunity to commend the effort of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulfatah Ahmed in his recent announced poverty alleviation programme and as well sitting a heart of the world International Vocational Centre at Ajasse-Ipo to cater for our people in the state. I also commend the state governor for the STEPB programme and provision of soft loan for the boosting of business of our entrepreneur in all the sixteen local government areas of the state.
It in unprecedented dividends of democracy not only to reduce the burden and suffering of our people but an outstanding policy capable of reducing criminal activities in the society, Kwara state and Nigeria as a whole.
It is undisputable fact that the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, CON has continue to be a friend of weak, oppressed and hopeless in his philanthropic drive. I commend him.
