The Kwara State Director of Sports, Mallam Tunde Kazeem has been appointed a member of the Nigeria Olympic Committee NOC Technical and Development Commission.
In a letter addressed to the Director and signed by the NOC Secretary General, Olabanji Oladapo the appointment was in recognition of his wealth of experience and outstanding contribution to Nigeria Sports and the Olympic movement.
It urged Mallam Kazeem who is also the Chairman of Nigeria Directors of Sports Forum to bring his experience to bear in achieving the goal of setting up the Commission.
In his reaction, the Director described the appointment as a call to service pledging not to let down the NOC in the task ahead of the Commission.
“I didn’t know these are coming. I want to give Allah the glory, It’s gladden my heart,” Kazeem said.
He did however attributes the recent awards and appointment to dedication, steadfastness and total commitments.
The director of sports charged the government to prioritize sports because it’s reduces restiveness among youths.
