By Matthew Denis
A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kwara State,
Alhaji Moshood Oyebanji Oyewole has appealed to the New Governor of
Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to hit the ground running
as the expectations of people are high.
The chieftain who is also the founder of Moshood Oyebanji Oyewole
Foundation also urged the Governor to shun sycophants and political
Jobbers who will want to use the Governor to actualise their selfish
gains.
Alhaji Oyewole in a statement signed by his Media Aide – Tunde
Abdulrasaq noted that it was praise singers that did not allow the
past administration to perform as no one is ready to tell the truth to
power.
He urged the Governor to avoid a situation whereby his leadership will
be seen in the light of toying with the mandate bestowed on them by
Kwarans at home and abroad.ย He urged him to run an open and all
inclusive government which will be beneficial to all and sundry and
ensure the dividends of democracy to the grass roots.
Alhaji Oyewole however particularly urged the Governor to declare a
state of emergency in the health, education and agricultural sectors
of the economy, noting that these will have a positive multiple effect
on the plight of Kwarans.
While advising him to ensure a youth friendly governance model,
Oyewole also urge all in the state to be supportive ofย the
administration of Abdulrazaq.
While praying for a successful administration under the new
leadership, he assured all in the state that his foundation will
continue to complement the government’s effort in bringing succor to
all Kwarans in and outside of the state.
