Ikhana to undergo hip surgery

Former Super Falcons, Enyimba Fc and Kano Pillars Coach Kadiri Ikhana
(M.O.N) says Alliance Hospital Abuja has offered to render free
medical services to his prolonged hip injury.
The former Shooting Stars gaffer thanked the the hospital and the
surgeon Dr. Christopher Otabor for coming to his aid at this point in
time. โ€œAfter the medical tests, it was discovered that I have a lower
spine injury,
I have also sent the medical reports to the Dr Chris Otabor who is the
medical director of Alliance Hospital Abuja who have offered to treat
me free of charge, I will be leaving Abeokuta to Abuja on Monday.โ€
Ikanna also stated that Some NPFL Club officials and players have
reached out to him since hearing of his predicament.
โ€œFew of the players I coached before now have reached out to me, even
some who I never coached, most notably Former Super Eagles player
Victor Moses called me from Turkey; some players in Enyimba Fc and
Kano Pillars have called me, I thank God for my life and especially am
grateful to Alliance hospital for this kind gesture.โ€
Recall that coach Kadiri Ikanna had earlier appealed for financial
help for a niggling hip injury in an interview that went Viral.
Coach Kadiri Ikhana is a known name in the football coaching
fraternity in the country having played for the Super Eagles in time
past, as he also played for the Nigerian Army 1st Infantry Division
Armed Forces, where he represented Nigeria in two World Military
Games.
He also featured for Bendel Insurance for five years, winning trophies
with the club and also played for Abiola Babes before he quit the game
as player to becoming a coach.
Ikhana coached the Super Falcons and NPFL clubs like, El-Kanemi
Warriors FC, Kano Pillars FC, BCC Lions, Sunshine FC, Sharks, Nasarawa
United FC and Enyimba FC of Aba, where he became the first Nigerian
coach to win the CAF Champions League with Enyimba FC for the first
time in Nigeriaโ€™s history.
