Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi kept a clean sheet as Kaizer Chiefs bounced back to winning way as they beat Highlands Park 3-0, in Wednesday’s South African Premier Soccer League (PSL).
It was Akpeyi’s 13th league appearance for Kaizer Chiefs this season.
Going into Wednesday’s game, Kaizer Chiefs had failed to win their last two league games, losing one and drawing one.
Kaizer Chiefs broke the deadlock in the 27th minute through Erick mathoho.
Leonardo Castro made it 2-0 in the 57th minute before adding the third goal on 69 minutes.
The win saw Kaizer Chiefs remain top on 38 points, five points ahead of second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns in the 16-team league table.
