SARAKI PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO TUNDE ASHAOLU’S FAMILY IN ILORIN

President of the 8th Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on Friday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Publicity Secretary of the Peopleโ€™s Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State, Hon. Tunde Ashaolu.
Saraki and his entourage visited the family home of the Ashaoluโ€™s in Ilorin where they condoled with the father of the deceased, Pa Friday Jimoh Ashaolu, and other members of the family.
Ashaolu died on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022 at the age of 47. He was laid to rest on Friday, March 11, 2022 in his hometown, Odo-Owa, in Oke-ero local government area of Kwara State.
A statement issued by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir quoted Saraki as saying he is still yet to get over the shock of the sudden demise of Tunde, with whom he celebrated his 47th birthday just a day earlier.
Saraki described the late Tunde as loyal, industrious, hard working, and dedicated to his work and everything he finds doing.
While noting that the vacuum left behind by Tunde’s death is too large to fill, he charged the family to accept the loss as an act of God and take solace in the good life he lived and the legacy he left behind.
An expressive Saraki prayed God Almighty to comfort the family and the PDP family.
The father of the deceased, Pa Friday Jimoh Ashaolu, expressed gratitude to the former Kwara State Governor for finding time out of his tight schedule to visit the family.
He also appreciated him for the confidence he had in Tunde while he was alive. He prayed God to continue to be with him.
Also speaking, an elder in the family, Dr Abraham Ashaolu thanked Saraki and the PDP family for the love and their unwavering support for the family, both before and after the death of their son.
Dr Ashaolu on behalf of the family presented letters of appreciation from Odo-Owa community and Oke-Ero LGA to the erstwhile Senate President.
Another member of the family, Mr Ajide Ashaolu, who led the prayers, prayed for the repose of the departedโ€™s soul. He also prayed for the immediate family members and the PDP family.
On the entourage of the National PDP leader, were Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, Rt Hon Ali Ahmad, PDP State Chairman, Rt Hon Babatunde Muhammed,
Otunba Anu Ibiwoye among others.
