I dropped out of school for business – CEO, Golding Estates
Chief Sylvester Elochukwu Anayo is the Chief Executive Officer of Golding Estates, Ilorin, Kwara State. The company is into corporate services, facilities management, real estate brokers, architectural design, project management and property consultant.
To him business is ultimate as he has no regret dropping out of school to achieve his set goals in life.
According to him, he had always had the mindset of becoming an employer of labour, which was further fuelled when he started going on field work with his master about a decade ago.
According to him, he got admission into Kwara State Polytechnic in 2007, but the passion for business made him not to focus on schooling, hence he abandoned it.
After he gained freedom following his apprenticeship, Anayo established his business venture.
“I started meeting people and telling them about my business, with time I rented a single room office and with God’s support, I am where I am today with many people in my employ,” he enthused.
He attributed secret of his success to submission to his master as an apprentice and commitment to work.
The CEO stated that problem solving and creating opportunities for global estate investments remains his priority.
The CEO advised the teeming youths to be creative, saying ” gone are the days that certificates were seen as source of securing employment. Certificate is only a remark for your character but your inputs goes beyond certificates.”
He called on the state government to provide enabling environment for his kind of business to thrive by enacting laws that will bring estate agents under one umbrella to curb quackery in the sector.
