A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulraheem Tunji Olawuyi has reiterated his commitment to delivering on his campaign promises, stressing that he’ll continue to make the electorates his priority.
The Omu-Aran born politician widely known as Ajulo-Opin, made this assertion while inaugurating his grassroot team, Constituency Central Working Committee (CCWC), in Omu-Aran, on Sunday, which has a medical practitioner, Dr. Seyi Adigun as its Chairman.
Ajulo-Opin who represents Ekiti/Irepodun/Oke-Ero/Isin federal constituency at the green chambers of the National Assembly, while inaugurating the CCWC charged them not to forget that the bigger picture is a prosperous Kwara.
“This is a reinforcement of the firm resolve to deliver on all the key components of my covenant with the esteemed people of our Federal Constituency.
“Indeed, from my first election to the National Assembly on November 17, 2018, I have commenced the rigorous but exciting task of unearthing all feasible opportunities for our Federal Constituency.
“This task has taken me from one MDA to the other; from one critical private sector stakeholder to another. It has led me to critical reviews and revisiting of subsisting budgetary provisions of the Federal Government for interventions within our Constituency.
“In this task also, I have had extensive reach outs and engagements with non-governmental development partners who are showing great interests in the business-opening-up outlook of our immensely blessed Constituency.
“You may recall that work on some uncompleted infrastructural interventions especially, township roads in parts of the Constituency have commenced in line with budgetary provisions. Apart from these, multiple community responsorial interventions (new boreholes and repairs of non- functional ones, repairs of damaged electricity power installations etc) are also ongoing routinely; personally funded by me.
He said the committee has three mandates; scrutiny, synthesize and synergy of ideas, programmes, project and projections adding that “I will be counting on you to work in concert with Liaison Officers, Elders, Leaders and other stakeholders in the constituency to achieve all we have set out in our action plan.
“Let me at this juncture commend you all for accepting to serve on this Committee. This is more so, considering the fact that it has no financial remuneration or prospect of pecuniary gain attached to it.
The chairman of CCWC, Dr. Seyi Adigun, while appreciating the honour done him and his colleagues by the lawmaker promised to in conjunction with his team, ensure they bridge the information and needs gap between the constituents and the constituency office, stressing that, it is definitely a new dawn in the federal constituency.
Adigun however solicited the support, partnership and corporation of all stakeholders towards ensuring the dividends of democracy permeates the nooks and crannies of the constituency.
