Arsenal Kiddies lifts Iyere Ahamioje U-13 Boys Championship

It was the Surprise boys that drew the first blood with a first half stunner but Arsenal Kiddies dug deep into their experience and came from behind to lift the trophy in the final match held last week at the Kwara Stadium Complex.
An entertaining final game produced good football artistry coupled with both teams displayed good skills that added glamour to the final event.
With a large capacity crowd watching the match and skills displayed by the kids, Kwara state has once again proved that it’s a power house in grassroot soccer in Nigeria.
In his goodwill message at the closing ceremony, the sponsor of the competition, Prince Iyere Ernest Ahamioje promised to work with foreign scouts to ensure that the best legs from the tournament get the opportunity to play in Academies abroad.
According to him, the scouts will come into the country and watch the kids and the best among them would be given a two week training tour abroad by next year.
In his vote of thanks, the organiser of the tournament, Prince Soni Omo Ahamiioje thanked the sponsor of the competition and prayed God to replenish his pocket abundantly.
He called on the well to do in the society to emulate the philanthropic spirit of Iyere Ahamioje and assist in talented kids and youths to achieve their dreams.
The tournament will be an annual event according to Iyere Ahamioje and next year will be better. He encouraged the kids to take their education serious, saying that ‘ education is a meal ticket and a life insurance.
