The new Serikin Fulani of Ilorin, Alhaji Usman Adamu has said the Meyatti Allah association in Kwara State will support the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki in the 2019 election for his intervention towards the development of the state.
He made the call when the Chairman of Ilorin East Local Government Area, Engr. Abdumumini Lah led the management of his council to pay a congratulatory visit to him as the new Serikin Fulani of Ilorin.
Alhaji Adamu, who is the chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Kwara State branch, also commended the state government under the leadership of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for his laudable achievements during his tenure.
The Serikin Fulani also appreciated the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari for his fatherly role towards sustaining harmonious relationship in emirate and the state in general.
Alhaji Adamu promised their unalloyed support during the forthcoming general elections in the state adding that Saraki has done more than enough to win their trust and support.
In his response, Engr Lah called on religious and community leaders to always preach and promote ethno-religious tolerance in the state.
He also charged them to accommodate opposing views as parts of the mechanisms of deepening peaceful co-existence and harmony in the state.
The Chairman however urged Adamu to cooperate with state and local government during the forthcoming general elections to have successful exercise.
Also speaking, the Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Alhaji Soliu Woru-Mohammed who led other traditional rulers to congratulate Adamu on his new position implored him to use his position for the development of the state.
Alhaji Mohammed said there cannot be meaningful development and growth in any given crises-ridden community.
