Traditional ruler tasks corporate bodies, wealthy Kwarans on masses welfare

By Mumini Abdulkareem
Corporate organisations and wealthy individuals in Kwara State have been charged to be responsive to the yearnings and aspiration of their immediate communities.
This will compliment the efforts of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s led administration in its bid to take the state to the next level of development.
The Aguma Bassa in Kwara State, Aguma Daniel Shado Zhokwo made this known during an address to his people on the need to continue to support the present government in the state to alleviate the suffering of the masses.
He added that this would assist in providing additional basic amenities to the people so as to give them the sense of belonging in governance.
According to the traditional ruler, nongovernmental organisation should strive to better the lives of their people as government alone cannot shoulder all the requirements of the masses.
Aguma Zhokwo, however appealed to the state government to extend its rural transformation agenda to Bassa people in the state through the provision of necessary facilities while pledging their total support to the state Governor and Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari so as to move the state to a greater height.
