Nwakaeme scores, gets assist for Trabzonspor; Ideye also shines

It was a good outing for the Nigerian duo of Anthony Nwakaeme and Brown Ideye as both players impressed for their clubs, picking vital 3 points on matchday 20 of the Turkish Super Lig.
At the Gursel Aksel Stadium in Izmir, former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye came off the bench to wrap off victory for Goztepe as they thrashed visiting Genclerbirligi 4-0 to move up to 9th on the log.
First half strike from Peter Žilj, Cherif Ndiaye, and Halil Akbunar gave the host a resounding 3-0 half time lead before Ideye then set up Akbuna 90 seconds after his introduction in the second half to complete a one-sided 4-0 win
Meanwhile, at the Medical Park Arena in Trabzon, former Super Eagle Anthony Nwakaeme produced a man of the match display for Trabzonspor as they defeated Konyaspor 3-1 to record their 8th win of the campaign.
The 31-year-old opened the scoring on 21 minutes after being set up by Serkan Asan to put his side 1-0 up, a lead they held comfortably going into the half time break.
The former Eagle then set up Flavio to double Trabzonspor’s lead on 56 minutes before Cape Verde forward Djaniny sealed all three points with a well-taken strike on the hour mark to make it 3-0.
Nwakaeme was rightfully adjudged man of the match following a rating of 7.9, as he took his goal involvement of the season to 8 (5 goals, 3 assists) from 15 games.
