Young Kwara philanthropist, Aisha, marks birthday at Alma mater

...gives scholarship, learning materials

In celebration of her birthday anniversary this year, Alabi Aisha Abd’Lateef, visited her alma mata where she awarded scholarship to selected number of students and distributed writing materials to pupils at the Seventh-Day Adventist LGEA School, Osi, Ekiti LGA of Kwara State.
The event took place at the school premises in Osi, coming several years after she finished from the same school.
Alabi Aisha Abd’Lateef, a young philanthropist is known to give back to the younger ones.
The celebrant said she chose to celebrate with the younger ones who are the future of the nation, specifically those attending her former school.
She noted that identifying with them and sharing words of encouragement will dissuade and motivate them to be better children.
“This has been my dream while growing up and I’m glad I’m living it,” she said.
“Sharing moments and experience with the kids will motivate them to get serious. It’ll also aid them to cultivate the spirit of giving.”
Alabi Aisha Abd’Lateef charged the pupils to be focused and studious so they can excel in their studies.
The elated students expressed their gratitude to the donor and pledged to heed her admonition.
They also prayed and sang for her usual benevolence which has now become an annual event.
The school head, Mrs S.O Afolabi, on behalf of the staff, pupils, and scholarship beneficiaries thanked the celebrant.
Afolabi noted that her gesture is well appreciated “especially at this period of economic hardship when most parents can not afford to feed their wards not to talk of providing writing materials.
“This, sincerely, will go along way to be of benefit to the pupils and make teaching and learning easy in the school.”
One of the school staff members, Mallam Amasa Ismail, led the prayers for the celebrant.
